With adulthood comes the challenge of managing money, paying taxes, saving, voting, and countless other responsibilities; none of which I had ever been taught in school. I felt completely blindsided and unprepared as I navigated those early years of adulthood. I couldn’t help but wonder how different would life have been if I’d had these conversations as a child?

That’s when Beyond the Textbook Stories was born. I wanted to create books that introduce children to “grown-up” topics through playful, adventurous stories. Each story is more than just a tale...it’s a spark! Kids can enjoy the adventure while also opening the door to meaningful conversations with parents and caregivers, carrying the lessons beyond the page and into everyday life. Simply put, going Beyond the Textbook.
